Tri Color Gold Guan Yin (Kwan Yin) Chinese Goddess Amulet in 18K Gold Case

Tri color Guan Yin Goddess amulet in 18K gold plated case.

This is an exceptional Chinese Buddhist Goddess Amulet figurine of "Guan Yin" or "Kwan Yin". This is a tri-colored (gold, white, copper or gold, silver, copper) amulet that is very small and ideal as a pendant on a woman's necklace or even as a charm on a bracelet. The size is listed at the main link below, as well as another photo of the back of the amulet.

Guan Yin (Kwanyin) is the goddess of mercy or compassion. She is said to watch over wearers of her amulets with care and protect wearers from dangers. The name "Guan Yin" is the Chinese name to refer to the "awakened being of great compassion, in Sanskrit language, "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva". Guan Yin is said to have taken a vow to release all sentient beings from suffering when her name is chanted over and over.

To many Chinese, Gwan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy, is the symbol of the perfect mother. She watches over those in danger and listens to the prayers of all who suffer or are frightened. She gives children to the childless. She brings the faithful to Paradise, yet she refuses to enter herself as long as any living being is excluded. (Quote from:
